Providing shelter and support to those who need it most

It’s no secret that this past year has presented unique and distressing challenges for our community. In times like these, we need to come together, gather strength, and continue ensuring our youth have a safe space to call their own. As the only shelter in New Mexico specifically for LGBTQ+ youth, Casa Q’s services are more important now than ever.

Since we opened our doors in 2015, Casa Q has expanded to provide not just housing to LGBTQ+ youths aged 14-17, but therapy, education, medical care, a 24/7 support team, aftercare programs, and a Transitional Living Program for young people aged 18-22. Importantly, we offer a setting for our young people to explore and discover what it is that they need to heal and grow.

Reflecting back on these past eight years, we can say with confidence that we cannot do this work without you, our community. Whether through advocacy, donations, sharing your time, or promoting our organization, it is YOU who make Casa Q possible. When we work side by side, we are better. We are stronger and more able to overcome the challenges that come our way. We are better together.
